It is with sadness that Kent Elms T.C. wish to record that Mabel Perkins, the wife of John, died peacefully in her sleep in a Southend Nursing Home on November 18th 2006, at the age of 84. Her funeral will take place at the Sutton Road Cemetery on Thursday 30th November at 11.45 am. John Perkins was a well respected member of the Leigh & Westcliff Committee, holding the positions of Chairman and League Secretary for many years. John also played in the early leagues of the 1950s and reached various tournament finals in the early years of the association.
